COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Columbus Technical College President Lorette M. Hoover has announced that she will be retiring.
President Hoover’s almost six years with the school will come to an end on June 30.
She became the president of Columbus Technical College on July 1, 2013.
She has been part of the Technical College System of Georgia for 35 years, serving four colleges, two of which she served as president.
“Columbus Technical College is amazing because of the faculty and staff who live it, dream it, and build future plans for it,” Hoover wrote in her announcement. “Thank you for your support and collaboration.”
President Hoover also calls the Columbus area home and says she has no immediate plans to relocate and will continue investing in the community.
There is no word on her replacement as president.
