Columbus becomes one of four cities nationwide selling Burger King’s plant-based burger

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Only four cities in the United States are selling Burger King’s new Impossible Whopper.

The completely plant-based was introduced only to St. Louis, Mo. in April, but it is now spreading to Miami, Fla., Montgomery, Ala. and the Fountain City itself.

Unlike traditional veggie burgers, the Impossible Whopper is intended to mimic the look, texture and taste of a traditional Whopper.

The plant-based patty comes topped with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and onion.

Burger King says they plan on extending the Impossible Whopper nationwide by the end of the year.

News Leader 9′s Cheryl Renee and Meteorologist Lauren Linahan gave the Impossible Whopper a try today. See their reactions in the video above!
