Grease Monkey to collect money for Girls, Inc. throughout June

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Grease Monkey of Columbus is collecting money for Girls, Inc. throughout the month of June.

A portion of each oil change purchased at any of their five Columbus and Phenix City locations will be collected and donated to the organization.

Girls, Inc. equips young girls with the tools they need to navigate gender, economic and social barriers to grow up healthy, educated and independent.

A portion of the amount of money raised will be used to take the girls zip lining across the Chattahoochee River at Whitewater Express.

“Girls Inc. is absolutely thrilled to partner with Grease Monkey. To be strong, smart, and bold, girls need to know about entrepreneurship, careers in traditionally male-dominated fields, and making meaningful contributions to the community,” said Leann Malone, Executive Director at Girls Inc. of Columbus and Phenix-Russell.

“ We strive to continuously give back to our community through contributions of our time and money by supporting local organizations that empower our future leaders to maximize their potential,” said Chuck Davis, Managing Partner of Grease Monkey Columbus area locations. “We are pleased to partner with Girls Inc. in supporting their mission.”

The participating locations include:

  • 6028 Veterans Pkwy. in Columbus
  • 1424 Veterans Pkwy. in Columbus
  • 4012 Buena Vista Rd. in Columbus
  • 3638 Gentian Blvd. in Columbus
  • 1304 E. 280 Bypass in Phenix City
