COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Abundant sunshine greeting us again on Hump Day though temperatures still managed to drop into the upper 40s and low 50s as we started off the morning! The afternoon looks much more seasonable in comparison with highs back in the low 80s.
So, embrace this sunny, dry, and comfortable weather while you can. The weather pattern turns unseasonably hotter over the weekend and headed into next week, with highs potentially climbing into the low if not mid 90s by the middle of next week! In the meantime, your best chance of cooling off will be scarce rain chances peppered through the extended forecast. A weak disturbance heading toward the Valley tonight will bring a 10-20% chance of a few isolated showers for Thursday, but there will still be plenty of sun mixed in with the incoming clouds. Sunday and Monday also feature a slim chance for a stray shower, but overall the pattern still looks dry along with the escalating heat AND humidity!
