Two arrested in LaGrange with multiple drug possession, trafficking charges

LAGRANGE, Ga. (WTVM) - The Troup County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two people and gotten a large amount of drugs off the street.

Narcotics investigators executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of N. Davis Rd. in LaGrange on May 14, which led to the arrest of 29-year-old Christopher James Sherman and 30-year-old Bonnie Elizabeth Sherman.

Investigators recovered one pound of crystal methamphetamine, 867 Xanax pills, cocaine, methadone, marijuana and numerous other prescription medications. They also located three handguns and more than $9,000 in cash.

Both Christopher Sherman and Bonnie Sherman were charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of Xanax with the intent to distribute and possession of methadone. Christopher Sherman also faces three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The Troup County Sheriff’s Office also says additional charges are pending.
