COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Columbus was chosen as one of four cities in the country to sell Burger King’s new Impossible Whopper.
The new plant-based burger is supposed to mimic the look, texture, and taste of the traditional whopper.
In addition to Columbus, the Impossible Whopper is available in Miami, Montgomery, and St. Louis. People around Columbus are excited as the city was chosen to be among the areas doing a taste test.
“We get to fine tune and make this roll out nationwide go smoothly.” Said Ron Cooper, the director of human resources at Schuster Enterprises. “I'm excited because I have several friends that are vegans or vegetarians and they're so excited about this product being here.
“Out of the United States, and we're chosen, yeah I think that is special,” said Columbus resident Frederick Hartwell.
Burger King said its planning on extending the Impossible Whopper to the rest of the United States by the end of the year.
