COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Piedmont Columbus Regional held its annual public safety luncheon Wednesday.
The luncheon is a way to thank first responders and fellowship with agencies across the Chattahoochee Valley.
"To show that it’s not one part, it’s a whole team. You know we need the first responders to activate the hospital, to let us know what's going on. We interface with them on a daily basis. They bring patients to us, they need our help as well and we work together,” said Michael Zimmerman, executive director of operations at Piedmont Columbus Regional.
The event was held at the Columbus Regional campus and at the north location. The luncheon was held in consideration of Public Safety Appreciation Week.
