MCSD hires new captain for police force

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Muscogee County School is district is a step closer to filling all open positions for its police force.

James Morris was hired as the new police captain. The announcement was made at Monday evening’s board meeting.

Morris has 25 years of experience in law enforcement including 20 years in a school district police department. He is a masters graduate of Columbus State University. The school district said officers are still needed for the upcoming school year.
