COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley is announcing its goal to benefit nonprofits across the area.
A crowd of nearly 1,000 people are expected to be in attendance at Thursday’s fundraising kickoff luncheon at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center.
The organization wants to raise $7,075,000 for nonprofits throughout the 2019-2020 year.
The year’s theme, “Change doesn’t happen alone,” it’s all about community involvement by emphasizing not being able to solve out community’s problems or break down barriers alone.
Everything the organization raises will help fund 54 programs across their eight county area.
