FT. BENNING, Ga. (WTVM) - Fort Benning officials say that all three wildfires have been put out.
They say the small wildfires began Friday, Sept. 20 and, as of 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 24, each had been extinguished.
One burned downrange at Patton Range and another began at Carmouche Range. On Sept. 23, a third wildfire began in the Patton Range area.
Officials say that heavy fuel sources, such as logs and stumps, in the wildfire areas continue to smolder, which generates smoke.
Officials say no smoke issues are expected.
