COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - WTVM wants to remind the Columbus area that Monday is Columbus Day, so you should be aware of the Columbus holiday city closures.
The consolidated government is closed Monday, Oct. 14 to observe the holiday. Normal operation hours will resume on Tuesday.
Other services that will be closed include:
- 311 Citizen Services Center
- Landfills at Granite Bluff and Pine Grove
- Columbus Civic Center
- Animal Control
- Parks and Recreation Administrative Offices
Also, the trash and waste route that is normally run on Monday will be moved to Wednesday.
Columbus Recorder’s Court will only hold 8:00 a.m. bond hearings.
METRA Bus services will run the normal Saturday route before returning to regular service on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
All recreation centers, senior centers and the Britt David Studio will operate holiday hours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Columbus Aquatic Center, Cooper Creek Tennis Center, Lake Oliver Marina and the Columbus Ice Rink will remain open.
Emergency services, such as police, fire and EMS will also remain in service.
