COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Columbus State University is conducting a multi-agency emergency management exercise on its Main Campus tonight.
The CSU Police Department is holding the exercise in conjunction with city, county and state entities.
The event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
The exercise is designed to assess the emergency response capabilities during a string of events that could lead to a potential threat to an individual on campus.
“This exercise is a part of CSU’s ongoing emergency management initiative and furthers our partnerships with other first responders when developing all-hazards emergency plans for our campuses," says CSU Police Chief Mark Lott.
CSU officials are reinforcing to students that Cougar Alert, the institution’s emergency notification system, will be used as part of the exercise.
All activities will be held on the Main Campus of Columbus State University.
