Wesley Heights Elementary School in Columbus names spelling bee winner

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Wesley Heights Elementary School in Columbus named its spelling bee winner on Thursday.

Nineteen students competed for the title and went nine rounds before the final two contestants were left standing.

Camille McCullough won the spelling bee, correctly spelling the word, “audience.” Edward Moore was the runner up.

WXTX Fox 54’s Roslyn Giles served as the word pronouncer and four community leaders were the judges.
