Columbus couple hosting breakfast, vigil to create conversation on gun violence solutions

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A Columbus couple is using their experiences and positions within the church to host an event aiming to help support families whose loved ones were murdered.

Pastor Quenita Mack and her fiancé Charles Jackson are hosting a breakfast and vigil Saturday at the Kingdom Builders of God Church on Plantation Avenue. Their goal is to heal the land and create conversations surrounding solutions.

“We complain about it, but we’re not moving in it as much as we want to,” said Mack. “So, we invite everybody out. Even the ones who have not lost a loved one, come out because we may never know when it may hit home.”

The coupe said even if you have not lost a loved one to gun violence, you are welcome to join the conversation about how to reduce gun violence in the community.
