COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Davis Broadcasting held their 34th annual Radiothon to raise money for bikes, toys, food and clothing for kids in the community who might go without this Christmas.

Due to COVID-19, Davis Broadcasting is accepting pledges and credit card donations online. They held a drive thru only donation drop off in their office parking lot on Wynnton Rd. over the weekend.

Donations will help buy toys, bikes, food and clothes - which the Davis Broadcasting Santa Crew will deliver to selected families.

“We just know that there is a lot of need this year even probably more so than last year and we don’t want any kid to wake up on Christmas and not have [anything,]” said Geniece Granville. “Two, we want people to know that our city cares about each other and they matter.”

New this year, Davis Broadcasting is partnering with the Columbus Civic Center for a screening of “The Grinch” as a drive-in movie fundraiser on December 5. Money from ticket sales will go towards their children’s Christmas giveaway.
