Habitat for Humanity hosts food drive in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Columbus area Habitat for Humanity hosted its first food drive.

Although Habitat for Humanity usually spends its time creating safe and affordable housing for communities, Executive Director Louise Hurless said “you have to eat.”

Hundreds of food items were collected in Habitat’s local thrift store over the course of two weeks, and the food was distributed to 12 families in Columbus.
