Second weekend Phenix City shooting claims life of 34-year-old man
PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) - A second homicide in Phenix City over the weekend has claimed the life of a 34-year-old man.
The overnight shooting took place just before 4:20 a.m. when officers were called to the 2000 block of 45th St. in reference to a shooting.
Officers on the scene found 34-year-old Johnathon Larson dead from a gunshot wound. The Russell County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and officially pronounced Larson dead.
Larson’s body is being sent to the Alabama Department of Forensics for an autopsy.
There is no word at this time if police have any potential suspects.
