MOBILE, Ala. (WTVM) - Former Opelika Bulldog quarterback Jake Bentley announced on Wednesday that he’s transferring from Utah to South Alabama for his final season of college football eligibililty.
Bentley never really got things in rhythm in his one season with the Utes, whose season was cut to just five games this season thanks to COVID. He completed 77-of-124 passes for 882 yards and six touchdowns with six interceptions in 2020.
He signed with South Carolina in 2016, taking over the starting role as a freshman and keeping it until suffering a foot injury in the opener in 2019.
Bentley threw for 7567 yards and 55 touchdowns in 33 starts with the Gamecocks.
