AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) - A death investigation is underway following an incident in downtown Auburn.
On Saturday, Jan. 9, at approximately 3:55 p.m., Auburn police responded to the 200 block of North Gay Street in reference to a person falling from a balcony.
Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male victim with apparent injuries lying on the sidewalk.
An investigation determined that the victim had fallen from a 6th floor balcony, according to police.
That person died at East Alabama Medical Center.
The Auburn Police Division is investigating into the death, but says there is no indication of foul play.
The body will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Montgomery for an autopsy.
