COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Extra coffee will be required Monday morning to get up out of bed, a cold and raw day is coming up to start the new week. Lots of upper 30s to start will make you think, when will it snow? Well, it will NOT snow (closer to Atlanta a rain/snow mix is possible), however, a chilly rain will dominate much of your Monday with highs in the middle and upper 40s. One year ago we were forecasting 74 degrees for January 11th, this year not even close! Great weather for a nap will give a way to an improving week, starting with afternoon clearing Tuesday with highs bouncing back closer to average in the middle 50s. Wednesday through Friday skies will be accompanied by a lot of sunshine with temps in the upper 50s to near 60, lows well down into the 30s regardless. Another cool down is likely for next weekend, but it looks dry at the moment. Any outdoor plans after Tuesday afternoon and onward are good to go with a sweater or light jacket!
