SMITHS STATION, Ala. (WTVM) - A Lee County sheriff’s deputy and another man are recovering from injuries they sustained in a vehicle crash over the weekend.
The 30-year-old deputy, who was on duty, was injured just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday when the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicle he was driving collided with a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado.
The driver of the Silverado, a 60-year-old man from Salem, was also injured.
The condition of both men is unknown at this time.
The crash occurred on Lee County 239 at Lee County 240 approximately five miles west of Smiths Station.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is continuing to investigate the crash.
