MCSD to decide on best learning style amid pandemic as students currently learn virtually

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Muscogee County School District met Monday for the first time this year.

The district held its work session virtually as all students in the are district learning virtually at least through the end of this week.

Superintendent Dr. David Lewis said they will be meeting with a medical panel Tuesday for an update on the status of the pandemic and to discuss what type of learning style is best moving forward.

“We’re tentatively scheduled for a return for the choice model next Tuesday after the Martin Luther King holiday, but we are receiving some updates from our medical panel as we have all the way through. And I’ll get those tomorrow and then I’ll be informing our community of our plans going forward.”

The board also talked about different options for rescheduling the ACT and SAT later this spring after the college board closed the Columbus test sites scheduled for February.
