COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A quick moving disturbance will bring some showers to the area as we head into tonight and early Friday - it won’t amount to much, and we will see mostly sunny skies for most of Friday with highs in the mid 50s. A push of colder air will move in for the weekend with some clouds and sun for Saturday through Monday (the MLK Jr. holiday), and highs in the 40s and 50s. Look for overnight lows in the 20s and 30s (below freezing for most) Saturday, Sunday, and Monday mornings. We’ll warm things up next week with mid to upper 50s on Tuesday and 60s by next Wednesday. Another storm system - this one a little more potent - is poised to impact the area in the Thursday to Friday time-frame. We’ll fine-tune the timing as we get a little bit closer.
