COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - People across the nation celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Monday.
In Columbus, people gathered at the Columbus Civic Center for “The Dream Lives” event.
It was a drive-in screening event that featured pre-recorded messages from city leaders and a fireside chat with former United Nations ambassador, Andrew Young.
“Things have changed, people have changed,” mentioned Young. See, the world has changed and we did it, and the tragedy of it all is that the only people we have killed are each other.”
The program also included several musical performances.
