COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Across the state of Georgia, Walmart and Sam’s Club locations are being approved to hand out the COVID-19 vaccine to those who meet the criteria.
It has been just over a month since Georgia received its first doses of the vaccine. Since then, 656,500 Georgians have been vaccinated.
As of Monday morning, the only location in the Chattahoochee Valley offering the vaccine is the Sam’s Club on Whittlesey Blvd. in Columbus. To make an appointment to receive the vaccine, call the COVID Vaccine Line at 706-649-6322.
The state currently remains in Phase 1A which allows elderly Georgians, first responders and healthcare workers among other groups most likely to contract the virus to receive the vaccine.
