High speed chase through east Ala. ends in woman’s arrest

OPELIKA, Ala. (WTVM) - A high-speed chase through Lee and Chambers counties has ended with a Phenix City woman’s arrest in Opelika.

22-year-old Brittney Nichole Crump was arrested just after 5:00 p.m. and is charged with reckless endangerment, attempting to elude a police officer and resisting arrest.

The chase reportedly began in Auburn and headed northbound on Interstate 85 at approximately 4:00 p.m.

She is currently being held in the Lee County Jail.
