COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan has confirmed that several bones, including a human skull, have been found in north Columbus.
Bryan says the skull was found Sunday night in the woods behind a shopping center of businesses in the 6000 block of Veterans Pkwy.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is bringing in dogs to assist in the search for more bones. Their search found “additional” bones in the same area. The number of other bones located was not specified.
The investigation into these bones is ongoing. The person the skull belonged to has not yet been determined.
