COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A Columbus man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for attempting to sell methamphetamine in Harris County.

Jeffery McBride, 40, is convicted of attempting to distribute a half-kilo of methamphetamine.

McBride previously pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. He will have three years of supervised release after serving his sentence.

There is no parole in the federal system.
