COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Jordan Doull led wire-to-wire to earn medalist honors and lead the No. 17 Columbus State Cougars to a four-shot victory on Tuesday at the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational at Green Island Country Club.

Doull shot a 67 go with rounds of 67 and 68 on the opening day of the tourney to card an 8-under 202 to take the top spot, the only golfer in the tournament to break par in the 54-hole event.

Beck Burnette of Lee University finished second at even par-210, with CSU’s Ronan Kleu in third at 1-over-211.

On the team side, the Cougars trailed No. 1 West Florida by one shot going into the final round, carding 2-under-278 as a team to earn overall honors. Preston Wagaman had a 2-under-68 in Round 3 to provide the winning margin.

CSU travels to Pensacola next week for a tournament hosted by West Florida to wrap up the regular season. The Peach Belt Conference Tournament is scheduled to get underway on April 16 at the Slammer & Squire Course in St. Augustine, Fla.
