COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Changes will soon come to the way you sign up to receive your COVID-19 shots with the Georgia Department of Public Health.
According to Pamela Kirkland, with the Columbus Health Department, the new registration will now be statewide and people all across the state will soon be able to sign up to get their shot anywhere it’s available with the health department.
Kirkland says people will be able to go online and make their appointments themselves.
Kirkland said, “This is a state-wide registration system, and so we’re going to be going live with it shortly. And so anybody can go on to that website and put their information in, and if they want to go to Savanah and get themselves a vaccine, they can an appointment to get a vaccine in Savannah,” explained Kirkland.
There is no word yet on the exact day the new registration will open on the state health department’s website. Kirkland anticipates it going live at the start of next week. You can sign up here.
