COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Georgia Department of Transportation is awarding money to five locations in West Central Georgia for new projects.

The roadwork will happen in Bibb, Henry, Meriweather, Troup and Muscogee Counties.

The company working on Muscogee County is getting 3-million dollars for a project that will resurface Barbara Rd. and sections of U.S. 80 and Georgia 20. The project is expected to be completed by the end of February 2022.

In Henry County, a roundabout will be built on Georgia 155 on Panola Road. The project is expected to be completed by the end of February 2022.

The Troup County project involves 8.4 miles of signage upgrades on I-185 starting at US 27 and extending to I-85. The project is expected to be completed by the end of May 2022.
