AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) - A popular Auburn-based fast food joint - whose founders say they are the pioneers of chicken fingers - are bringing new locations to the Chattahoochee Valley.
According to officials with Guthrie’s, they’re building new restaurants in downtown Auburn and Columbus.
Auburn’s location will be at the corner of North College and Glenn. Columbus will be seeing its first Guthrie’s on Macon Road.
Officials with the company say they’re excited to bring their tasty chicken fingers and famous signature sauce to these two new locations.
“This next 12 months will definitely put us into uncharted territory and to business and stuff that we haven’t reached yet,” said Joe Kelly Guthrie, CEO of Guthrie’s Franchising, Inc . “We’re very excited to hit some goals and really expand outside of our home territory here.”
Guthrie’s first Auburn location was built back in the 1980s. There are currently about 40 locations across the country. According to the company, they’ll have 20 new locations within the next 12 months, including the locations in Auburn and Columbus.
