COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Keep Columbus Beautiful hosted its 51st Annual Earth Day at Cooper Creek Park.

The group hosted a scenic nature walk at the park.

The purpose of Green Week is to focus on different ways to practice sustainability and to go green for the environment.

“We wanted to do this because we worked so hard throughout the year to clean up,” said Charnae Ware, Executive Director of Keep Columbus Beautiful. “So today we just wanted to sit back and see what the Earth offers us 365 all year round.”

During the walk, participants looked for harmful things during their walk to throw away.
