COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a Columbus teen.
20-year-old Reginald Sharp was arrested on an outstanding warrant for the murder of 16-year-old Allen Toombs.
On Nov. 15 at approximately 2:02 p.m., officers with the Columbus Police Department were dispatched to Conner Road at Cusseta Road in reference to a person on the ground at the railroad tracks. Upon arrival, officers found Toombs suffering from gunshot wounds beneath a bridge. Toombs died on the scene at approximately 2:40 p.m.
After an investigation, on Nov. 20, 20-year-old Lilmarcus Ransome was arrested for the murder of Toombs.
Sharp will have a preliminary hearing in Recorder’s Court on May 5 at 2:00 p.m.
