UPDATE: Victim ID’d in fatal shooting on Bismark Dr. in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - On May 31, at approximately 11:54 p.m. officers from the Columbus Police Department’s Patrol Division were dispatched to the 1100 block of Bismark Drive in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located 17-year-old Carson Skinner suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

First responders arrived on the scene but discovered that Skinner had succumbed to his injuries.

Chief Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley pronounced Skinner deceased at 12:54 a.m.

The Homicide Unit is investigating this shooting.
