COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Though Wednesday morning once again features some clouds and fog, the afternoon holds the promise of more hot sunshine with highs easily climbing into the low 90s. Rain coverage will generally trend lower than what we’ve seen thus far this week, 20-30% today and tomorrow. A Scattered showers and storms look more probable again for Friday and the start of the weekend with coverage up to 40-50%. As always in the summertime, any day with less clouds or storms around during the heat of the afternoon will make for a hotter day. Temperatures should stay in the upper 80s and low 90s through next week with rain coverage around 20-40% Sunday and beyond. We may see some slightly less humid air by the middle of next week, but in the meantime, the Gulf moisture in place – which has been making it so muggy outside-- reigns supreme!
