Man arrested following chase, standoff in Columbus at Boby Court

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A man was taken into custody following a chase and standoff in Columbus.
Georgia State Troopers initiated a vehicle chase around 6:30PM Friday in response to an erratic driver who would not stop. The pursuit ended at the 6300 block of Boby Court.
The driver, later identified as Darien Foster, ran inside a home and refused to come out. The standoff ended peacefully following intervention from a negotiator with the Georgia State Patrol Crisis Negotiations Team.
Foster was arrested and charged with fleeing to elude and false imprisonment.
