Homicide investigation underway on the 2900 block of Colorado St.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Columbus Police Department is investigating a homicide on the 2900 block of Colorado Street in Columbus.

According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, 31-year-old Delarance Jones died from multiple gun shot wounds.
They say EMS arrived and could not resuscitate Jones.
Officials say the next of kin of Jones has been notified.
The Violent Crimes Unit was called to the scene to take lead on the investigation.
