Suspect ID’d after deadly shooting near Holly Ave. in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Columbus Police Department arrested a man after a victim was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds near Holly Avenue in Columbus.
Emilio Manrique-Camroan has been identified as the suspect. He faces the following charges:
- Murder
- Possession of VGCSA Schedule II Drug (Methamphetamine)
Officers located the victim in the 4600 block of Holly Avenue on Sept. 9.
According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, the victim was pronounced deceased at 8:15 p.m. The victim’s body will go up for an autopsy.

Manrique-Camoran appeared in Recorder’s Court on Tuesday morning where he pleaded not guilty.
An officer testifed in court today that Manrique-Camoran says he and the victim knew each other and that they were fighting but the shooting was an accident.
His case is bound over to Superior Court. Manrique-Camoran is being held with no bond.
