It turned out to be a perfect winter Saturday here in the Valley, and things won’t change too much to end the weekend. The only difference for our Sunday will be a slight warm up and an increase in cloudiness.

Gloom and doom in the Valley is not changing as we move towards the end of the work week. Today’s clouds and high dewpoints kept us from being able to warm up as much as we thought, but fog and mist also stuck around longer than expected. You can expect tomorrow to mimic today with a little fog heading out the door and temps in the mid 50s to start.

An overall dreary start to our work week with a few showers in the Valley. These conditions won’t be changing anytime soon. Tonight, mostly dry but you could see a stray shower.

Warmer in the Valley this afternoon, with highs topping out in the mid and upper 50s across the board. A few folks saw breezy conditions, but overall no complaints for this nice, seasonable January Tuesday. Clouds will make their way in for the rest of the evening hours, but we will start the night off dry.

The gloomy winter-like weather that we’ve been seeing the past 24 hours isn’t going anywhere. Overnight tonight more rain is in store along with a few gusty winds. Things dry up by tomorrow morning, but most of the clouds stick around. Temps for the first day of winter will be feeling cold, in the low 50s. The clouds have made their way back into the rain and shortly the rain will follow suit. Expecting showers to start in our east Alabama counties around 7/8 PM ET, and move into the Columbus area by 9 or 10. Once it makes it here the rain will stick around until late Tuesday night, so keep that umbrella close by. For most of us these will just be light showers, but a few heavier spots could present themselves throughout the day. Either way, only expecting about half an inch throughout the Valley from this system.

Clouds clear as we head into the overnight hours tonight, and temps will drop into the upper 20s and low 30s! A great idea to have the jacket by the door as you head out for any SUNday activities tomorrow. I emphasize sun because we will see a lot more of it tomorrow, and if you’ve been missing it you need to take advantage because it won’t be here for long!

A gorgeous and sunny day in the Valley today, with a similarly clear night ahead. A few clouds will start to peak in late and stick around as we head into Saturday afternoon, with a slight chance at a shower throughout the day. This weather sticks around well into the coming work week. A few big bumps in the road too as far as rain is concerned.
