Gambling bust in Troup County

WEST POINT, GA (WTVM) -  A two month investigation in Troup County lead officials to three different stores for suspected illegal gambling.

Drug Unit Agents with the Troup County Sheriff's Department executed search warrants for the West Point Trading Post, Langley's Thrift Store, and Chalk It Up. There they seized more than 4,600 dollars in cash, several play vouchers and paperwork relating to video gambling.

42 year old David Vas, 30 year old Jenny Lynn Hart, 30 year old James Langley and 21 year old Kevin Baker were all arrested and charged for commercial gambling.

Each of the four suspects has since made bond and they are awaiting their day in court.
