RUSSELL COUNTY, AL (WTVM) -   A Russell County man has admitted to a brutal ambush and attack on an unsuspected deliveryman.

Michael Tramel pled guilty to burglary, robbery and kidnapping charges Friday and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Officials say Tramel and his girlfriend broke into a vacant Phenix City house, ordered a pizza and waited for the deliveryman to arrive.

When he got there, the couple duct taped him to a chair and robbed him of his car and money at knife point. They also stole the pizza.

Tramel's girlfriend is already in prison for the crime, according to officials in the Russell County District Attorney's Office.
