Cheryl Renee

Cheryl Renee has become a trusted face and source for news across the Chattahoochee Valley.

After four years of anchoring News Leader 9 at Noon and News Leader 9 at 5:30 p.m., Cheryl is back to anchoring News Leader 9 Mornings with Chuck Leonard and Meteorologist Lauren Linahan. She still anchors News Leader 9 at Noon each weekday.

Cheryl's first television job was at WKTV-TV (NBC) in Utica, NY where she was a general assignment reporter. From there she moved to Savannah, GA to work at  WTOC-TV (CBS)  as a producer, reporter, and weekend morning anchor. An opportunity came that led her across the street to the competition WSAV-TV (NBC) as a reporter and weekend anchor.

Cheryl graduated from Syracuse University with a Master's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. She also holds a Master's Degree in Business from Case Western Reserve University in her hometown of Cleveland, OH and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA.

Cheryl is on her second term as a board member of Girls Inc., a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a licensed Realtor in Georgia. When not at the TV station, she enjoys getting real estate and decorating tips from HGTV, traveling, finding good buys at flea markets and spending time with her husband, Todd.

It may sound cliché, but it's my mom. She managed to have a career, raise a family, and still have a home-cooked dinner ready! And she's a great cook, just ask my dad.
