(WTVM) - Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan has confirmed details to News Leader 9 regarding the female inmate found dead inside of Muscogee County Jail on Thursday, Oct. 24.

Bryan says 46-year-old Lori Carroll had a punctured lung, broken ribs and what appear to be self-inflicted wounds to her face.

Carroll was arrested only two days before her death, on Tuesday, Oct. 22, for disorderly conduct while intoxicated. She was last seen alive around 4:30 a.m. the day of her death. An hour later, she was found unresponsive and pronounced dead, according to Bryan.

An autopsy has been completed, but the results are still under investigation.
