Girls Inc. to host Women’s Health Fair on Feb. 1

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Girls Inc. invites the public to join them on Saturday, Feb.1, 2014 to promote the health and wellness of all women in the community.

Girls Incorporated of Columbus, South Columbus UnitedMethodist Church, and Dr. Kamesha Fair, M.D. Obstetrician Gynecologist, willhold a Women's Health Fair "Mind, Body, and Soul Retreat" for all women ages 15to 100.

The event will take place from10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be held at the Baker Center located at 3535 LevyRoad (behind the old Baker Middle School).

It is free to the public,and lunch will be provided.

There will be volunteer physicians and nurses available totake Blood Pressure, HIV testing, breast exams, FSBS and bone density testing.Rebecca Johnson, RN will talk about "Learning to Eat Healthy", and Dr. KameshaFair and Skitch Danielson, RN will talk about "Taking Ownership of Your Body."

Mrs. Yolanda Sewell from South Columbus United Methodistchurch will minister with song and Cheryl Sapp will speak on Domestic Violenceand Alcohol/Drug Abuse. Elaine Pitts will close with Exercise and RelaxationTips.

The entertainment will be provided by Girls Inc NationalChampionship Jump Rope Team, The Glory Girls; the Cup Stacking team; and theStep Dancing team.
