The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is saying goodbye to its leader of more than two decades.
Mike Gaymon has decided to retire as President and CEO, on Nov. 1.
Gaymon has been active for many major milestones in the Fountain City, including the development of the Columbus RiverWalk, the opening of the Muscogee Technology Park, and the development of several landmark buildings around town.
Gaymon released a statement Friday, Sept. 12, saying, "The future is bright for the Columbus region. I am confident that the Chamber staff are prepared to continue to move forward with even more achievements and progress than we have ever seen."
