COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - How to solve health care challenges was the main topic of a health symposium in Columbus on Thursday, Sept. 18.
Business leaders and residents gathered to participate in the "Practical Solutions to Current Healthcare Challenges" seminar at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center.
We spoke with Robert Grainger, president and CEO of St. Francis Hospital, about the importance of this event as well as the cost of healthcare in our area.
"We enjoy the opportunity to work with businesses and try to find ways to help them control their healthcare cost where they can and through forms and symposiums like this, and we work with the business leaders and the large corporations and small corporations through the Chamber to find new and innovative ways to address the high cost of healthcare," Grainger explained.
The symposium is sponsored by the greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
