BERKELEY, CA (CNN) – Sipping on sugary drinks will soon cost you a little more cash in Berkeley, CA.
Voters in the city approved a 1 cent an ounce tax on sugary sodas and energy drinks.
That adds about 12 cents to the price of a can of soda and 68 cents to a two-liter bottle.
A similar measure failed in nearby San Francisco.
