COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Martial arts students in Columbus honored our veterans in a special ceremony on Tuesday.
East West Martial Arts School on Woodruff Road conducted a special ceremony where students presented dog tags to veterans and active military.
Organizers of the event say the martial arts school values our service members and the contributions and sacrifices they make for this country on a daily basis.
"We appreciate our military family tremendously," said Jason Davis, master instructor and owner. "We want to make sure that they know that their sacrifice does not go unnoticed and we honor them because they pay alternate price and heavy price to protect that freedom we have."
Service members were presented with dog tags by members of the school's Swat team - that's students that have earned advanced black belts.
