Items stolen from Valley Public Works complex; police seek thieves

VALLEY, AL (WTVM) - On Monday, Nov. 24, officers of the Valley Police Department were called to the City of Valley Public Works complex located in the 5200 block of Fairfax Bypass, in reference to a theft and criminal mischief that had occurred during the weekend.

When workers reported for work Monday morning, they noticed that a 20-foot section of chain link fencing had been torn down.

Upon checking the lot, they discovered that the following equipment was missing: one Takeuchi TB-285 Excavator, one Hardeebilt 825PE010 20' 10- ton trailer, two excavator attachments (1 bucket and 1 cutter), and an ATV 4-wheeler.

The theft would have occurred between 11:00 a.m. on Nov. 22 and 7:00 a.m. on Nov. 24.

At this time there are no known suspects or direction of travel.
